Updated 10/15/17 It is hard to believe that the first quarter of the year is over! Our students have already learned so much and come so far! I can't wait to see how much they grow and learn by the end of the year!
Now that we are in the full swing of things, I would love to have some volunteers to help in the classroom, specifically during our math rotations. On any given day, I am working with 3-5 differentiated math groups and could use some help with supervising the students during their independent or partner rotations. Volunteers can help with math games, answering math questions or helping students log into our classroom math sites. Ideally, I would love to have at least one volunteer daily from 2:30 - 3:25. You can commit to coming weekly or just pop in every once in a while as your work schedule allows! If you are interested in helping, please send me an email.
I would also love to have a volunteer to help with Thursday folders. This would be a weekly commitment of 30-45 minutes on Thursdays - anytime between 10:00 and 2:30. If you are interested in helping with our weekly folders, please send me an email.
Update: Thank you, Tami Frost, for volunteering to help with our weekly Thursday folders! :)
Once the students settle into the routines of the school year and our classroom, I will set up a volunteer schedule for parents who would like to help in the classroom. There may also be some projects that could be done from home, such as cutting out materials, assembling math game bags, etc. So, not all volunteering has to be done on campus during the school day. :)
I expect that we should be ready for in class volunteers by mid September. I will include more information regarding volunteer opportunities in the weekly newsletters.
Please note that before you can volunteer in the classroom or attend a field trip, you must complete some forms for the front office. I will create a link to those forms on this site once I have copies of them.
